It has been a glorious weekend. Some dear family members were in to visit, and the weather was gorgeous. I got some yard work done, which is my favorite way to exercise. This is the season that my roses like best. They are healthy and robust, and are generally free from serious pests and disease. I have lots of buds, and a few have opened. So of course I was out there with my camera.
One of the blogs I follow is that of Kimi Bostany. She is a wonderful photographer and post processor of photos. In the post I have linked, she describes a technique that I have used in a few flower photos. I'm having great fun with this. I used the Jason Gaylor brushes she did. Here's my rose photo:
